Operation Classroom and Heritage High School/Littleton are cooperating to build and open the Heritage High School/Kabala. The Work Teams and Sierra Leone trips are not sponsored or endorsed by Heritage High School, Littleton [Colorado] Public Schools, or any related agency. The Work Teams and Sierra Leone trips are sponsored and promoted solely by Operation Classroom.

Two Operation Classroom teams traveled to Sierra Leone in the Summer of 2009. Team 1 traveled from June 24 to July 14 while team 2 traveled from July 11 to July 28. The pictures on this page show Operation Classroom team members and Sierra Leoneon workers completing the final stages of the construction of the UMC Heritage HS. Construction began in the summer of 2008.

Mariams Conteh [2nd from right] is a Sierra Leone student and is from Moyaforia. Last school year she went to school in Kabala (Loma Secondary). She wants to be the first student at Heritage HS in Kabala. Mariams came and worked with the OC Team everyday at the site. She is pictured with three of the Heritage students who made up the 2009 Summer Work Team.
